High Definition

So I have a ps3 and I’m using component video cables to play my games in hd. I also have a 52 inch wide screen HD projector tv with s-video and 2 component hook ups. Furthermore, one is called HD compnent video. I have tried to play in 720p on both component hook ups but all I get are strange lines going up and down my tv set. I don’t understand this, why say it’s a hdtv when I can’t even view anything in hd????

The projector has no speakers for sound which Is why I have the reciever. the projector has hdmi, as does the reciever, but the xbox360 does not. I have s video, etc fairly new equipment but pretty standard. Please help!

Looking to spend no more than £800 ($1600) and is needed to cover a very large wall and still look sharp.

I need to find a good, cheap full hd (1080p) projector that is under $700?

It should also be able to support 720p (For video games that cannot support a higher HD resolution).
